RENMORE AFC COMMUNITY INTERVIEWS/VIDEOS

This is an interview with 3 generations of McCaffreys: Kevin Snr – Former Chairman and Current Honorary President,  Neil – Former Juvenile Manager, and Oisin - Juvenile Player. McCaffreys have been involved in Renmore Soccer since the 1970s and Kevin Senior was a key member of the Committee as Chairman in the 1990s when Renmore acheived major success at International and Local level, with Renmore representing Ireland in Hungary in 1995 and the 1996 and 1998 Premier wins. The family speak about favourite memories and what Renmore Soccer means to the in the interview. 

Interview with Liam Duggan, Duggans Spar Supermarket and Pharmacy, Renmore.  Duggan's have been a long-time and proud sponsor and supporter of Renmore Soccer.  Many Renmore teams have worn jerseys with Duggans logo and Liam and family continue to be deeply involved in the club. We were delighted to get Liam and his family on video to share their view on what Renmore Soccer means to them and to Renmore as a community. Thanks Liam for your support over the years and looking forward to seeing what happens in the coming years.  Duggan's are also a sponsor of the Renmore 50th Anniversary Year.  

 Renmore AFC is most importantly a community football club and we are proud to have The Bon Secours Hospital, Galway sponsor our Academy.

 On Monday 1st of May 2023 Renmore A.F.C hosted a soccer tournament for Ladies over 30. The event was well supported with teams from the community in Galway along with teams traveling from further a field. The tournament has raised over €3,000 for Galway Hospice Foundation. This video gives a flavour of the event. 

This is an interview with Nigel Keady, FAI Regional Manager. Nigel speaks about the importance of clubs like Renmore AFC to local soccer and the importance of Club Mark, which Renmore AFC recently received from the FAI in recognition of its progress in governance and child safety processes. 

This is an interview with Alan Murphy, former Manager of Galway WFC. Alan attended a girls blitz in Renmore in Summer 2022.  Alan speaks about community soccer and its importance to development of the sport and its importance in the growth of women's soccer in general.  Alan speaks about what a club like Renmore contributes and what this means for the future of the sport. 

In June 2023, RenmoreAFC ran a Mini World Cup 2023 with 150 kids and 50+ volunteers participating.  The 2 day event was an outstanding success.  This video is a selection of photos and recordings from the day. This will become an annual activity for the club.
