This is an interview with Mark Herrick, former Renmore AFC Player and Manager. Mark played with Renmore AFC Juvenile teams from 1987 to 1989 and then went onto have a professional carreer in the UK before coming back to play for Galway United. He was part of the Renmore Juvenile squad that won the 1988 Connnacht Cup. He was also one of the 3 guest players that joined the largely Renmore side that represented Ireland in a Euporean Championship competition in Tamasi, Hungary in 1995. Mark then returned to manage Renmore Juniors from 2004 to 2006. In the interview, Mark talks about his memories from those times and why his time with Renmore is so important to him to this day.
This is an interview with Justin Neary, Manager of the 1996 Renmore Premier Winning Team. Justin managed the first Renmore side to win the Premier Division and established a new era for Renmore Soccer. This interview discussed the highlights of the 1995 and 1996 seasons.
This is an interview with Denis Mulgannon, Former Renmore AFC Commmittee Member and trophy winning manager. Denis has been a pivotal member of Renmore AFC through the 2000s and into the early 2010-2010s. Denis ran the academy for many years and built it up and this became the foundation of the clubs successes through the late 2000s and 2010s. Denis was also a committee member for well over a decade and contributor to the clubhouse development. His experience in facilities and engineering were called on more than once to advice and fix. Denis managed teams that went on to dominate leagues and cup runs for years and his teams won repeatedly through U12-U16 levels. Denis left the club to pursue coaching opportunities at senior levels in Galway soccer but he will always be welcome in the club and congratulated for his many outstanding achievements while a member of our club.
This is an interview with Anna Marie Craughwell, former Renmore AFC Committee Member. Anna Marie has been with the club for many years and was part of the development efforts for womens soccer in 2000s. Renmore formed girls and womens teams for nearly 10 years and Anna-Marie was part of the committee and driving this effort with many others. Anna-Marie also was part of the committee that developed the clubhouse. Anna-Marie talks about her experiences in the club and the development of womens soccer. She also shares her perspective on the current club direction and how important this is to girls in the community that want to participate in sport.
This is an interview with Terry Lee, Galway FA Fixtures Manager and Former RenmoreAFC Commmittee Member and Team Manager. Terry has managed teams in Renmore for many decades and seen success accross many Juvenile age groups, including the Richard Quinn U-18 league in 2007. Terry was part of the committee that worked on the Renmore Clubhouse project and he speaks about his time with Renmore and outstanding memories.
